I spy with my li'l eye a Bit of Blue... Whoa... BLUE SKY!!! After a week of grey skies, sub zero temperatures, round the clock rain & snowfall.. I'd forgotten what Joy the sight of Blue could bring -- not just to the eyes but straight to the Soul.
I happily skip over to get my cell & capture the beautiful sunrise (the sun still playing hide and seek) but the golden hue spreading on the clouds gives it away. Today is going to be a very Special Day.. I can feel it.. the goosebumps don't lie!! Or is it because I'm standing in the balcony in just my PJs.. I toss away the cold thoughts & allow myself to feel the magic of the spreading light and let it brighten my Day.

Today is the Annual Beckenried Jodlerkonzert in die Kirche (The Church). It's a fusion of Jodling and BlueGrass music.. sounds very interesting. From the little I know of Jodling (discounting the exposure to Kishore Kumar's yodelling in my early years), I cannot imagine how the two would blend-in.. I try to put my most creative cap on. What the.. why can't i just be patient & wait a few more hours! I see no reason to tax my grey cells anymore.
We're having yet another snowy day today. It's already 4:30PM. The Konzert begins @ 5PM. Even though die Kirche is only 1 KM away, we're lazy today and decide to drive... a few minutes later we arrive to find all parking spots taken. Apparently everyone else had the same idea.. We drive a li'l further to take a U-turn and start heading back.. Aha.. a tourist car from Germany pulls out of a prime spot in front of the Ship-station. Thanking our lucky stars (which help us remain lazy), we walk up to the entrance and find a lot of folks crowding the Koffee & Lebkuchen(cake) stand. I wonder why they couldn't wait for the Konzert to end before diving into the goodies. My question is answered as soon as we step in.

The trees stand bare having shed the last vestiges of their multi-colored robes. The wind seems heavier laden with the cold from the North-Pole.. Uh-oh winter is fast approaching and soon it'll be time to send Dolfin off for Winter hibernation.
It's a clear blue sky, not a cloud in sight.. & temperatures touching the 20s.. Today seems to be the perfect day for Dolfin's swan song on the lake for the season! I can't wait to be onboard Dolfin again.. as we approach the Slip, she seems to be content swaying gently to the tune of the light waves in an otherwise calm lake.
With hardly any other boats around, middle of the lake seems to be a perfect spot for a picnic lunch.. Mmmmm.. Before we know it, the winter sun, picture-perfect views & the rhythmic rocking finds us happily Siesta'ing.

The days are waning, longer nights are closing in and the trees are donning their vibrant golden hues and a chill is creeping in the air.. Yes Autumn is announcing it's arrival! Autumn - "The second Spring - when every leaf becomes a Flower"! The first Snow has already dusted the brown peaks with powdered sugar.. Thanks to the clarity in the air, they look close enough to be picked up & tasted.. Ummm mmmmh Delicious!!
There's something magical about the clear crisp days, the first frost, the first smell of wood burning stoves, the taste of fresh apples in apple cider, hot-cocoa and hug-mugs to warm not only the soul but the hands too.
Some of the golden-brown leaves have started to adorn the grey sidewalks with their beauty. As I walk along the lake hugging my black coat, I deliberately tread on each to hear the crunch. Just ahead a leaf tumbles from it's weary branch, twists and turns and somersaults -- gently carried by the light wind as it makes it way to the ground. I pause to listen for the sound, but it's lost in the drone of the traffic.
A swan glides by breaking the silence.. I'm too slow in digging out my cell. She has glided away for now. But perhaps, another day, another time.. i will be able to capture her in full glory!!
