After two back to back days of driving to Salzburg and back and a couple of painful dentist appointments, at 11:45PM on 20th night, I said to myself “I don’t need to leave home at 6AM to catch the bus for the SU outing. I sure could use some more sleep tomorrow morning”.

But then, I got up and packed and in the morning I found myself on the bus to Beckenried.

I sure am glad I did.

I enjoyed every moment of the outing, even if I didn’t understand everything that the guide told us during the Freiburg city-tour, or the many conversations across the tables. Just being out there with everyone - laughing, enjoying, hiking, eating, drinking, singing, petting the cats, sleeping in Martin's farm hay loft, listening to rain drops, riding the rail-bikes, making our own pizza - every moment was truly wonderful!!

Thank you Marlene for organising this most memorable outing for all of us!!!
