During the first week of December, all members of Sport Union gather for a cozy evening of drinking, nibbling, gossiping and laughing together - before the Winterbreak. "Chlaishock" literally means sitting together for Christmas. Chlais =short form of Samichlais (aka SantaClaus) and Hock = Squat.
Since we're a sporty group, one has to earn the nibbles and drinks. After a decent 3km walk, we're invited for a fine Apéro with Glühwein in a Farmer's old Barn heartfully decorated in the Christmas spirit.
Continuing further down to the lake, we let our hearts beat to the rhythmic clang of hundreds of Cow-bells carried by the Beckenried Trichler. The evening ends on a high note with some delicious cakes and creamy desserts 
Too bad, gotta drive back home some 25 kilometres...

We had a surprise visitor --
Santa came riding in a Black Car instead of a Sleigh. Well i guess the Reindeers didn't want to pull the Sleigh on a snowless landscape...
As gifts, he brings us the traditional Oranges, Cookies, Peanuts, Candy, Chocos and Surprise Surprise.. even a Mouse (albeit a chocolate) for Skylar (Since she's been such an amazing cat!! Shhh.. but don't tell her, else she'll be back to being the Princess she usually is!)

it's gotta be all natural - of ivy, pine and birch
an invitation - for birds, to come and perch
after they've enjoyed a leisurely bath in our tray...
