Today voters in Switzerland decide on four separate issues in nationwide ballots. A rightwing initiative to enforce the automatic deportation of convicted foreigners even for minor offences like speeding; a leftwing proposal to ban financial speculation with foodstuffs; a centrist plan to introduce tax breaks for families; and environmental groups challenging a decision to build another road tunnel through the central Swiss Alps.

With the results still pouring in, we head out for a walk. The day matches the gloomy mood of all foreigners here fervently wishing that the proposal is rejected. The referendum comes at a time when many European countries are hardening their attitudes to migrants after more than a million arrived on the continent last year. The Ducks & the Sea Gulls float contently on the water, totally unaware of the politics being played out around them.

Why, oh Why can't we Humans learn from Animals to live without Borders and to only take from Nature to satisfy our Needs and not Greeds??

I follow Lukas uphill on a new trail.. our shoes make platchy sounds as we walk over wet, puddly Earthy trails. Rounding a bend, we come across a li'l cottage. I wonder if it's one of the SAC (Swiss Alpine Club Huts). Lukas tells me that it's a Beehive from his Brother-In-Law. The open ledges (9 of them) show how many hives are populated.. we find some Bees flying around. Hmmm.. perhaps we have some early-bird flowers blooming already. Those of us who haven't tried Creamy Swiss Honey with Butter on freshly baked Bread yet, it's one of those Bucket List items. Words are not enough to describe.. it's just ummm.. ummm...Hmmmm Sinfully Good Joys of Life! I take a quick picture of the Hive and decide that it'll be the theme for today.. Li'l splashes of Colors to brighten up an otherwise Grey view.
