We're snowed in and suddenly out of the Blue -- my favourite Beach "Torrey Pines" comes a calling. I take a trip down memory lane -- running barefoot on the beach, cooling off the feet in the waves, taking a gentle walk, biking up & down the hill, laying around on the beach - enjoying countless sunsets, listening to waves crash on the rocks, sipping coffee, admiring the sea-gulls gliding over the surface, getting sprayed by the big waves, paragliding over the cliffs, laughter, smiles, pensive moments, sadness, love and joy.. i have lived pretty much every emotion except Anger there on that Beach. It's like my Mecca..
So what's the next best thing to do when you can't fly there on a magic carpet -- Yeah!! Make the 523 piece "Cliffs by the Sea" Liberty Puzzle by "Gustave Caillebotte". A special gift from a special friend - who shares my love for the beach.
I love these classic real maple-veneer plywood Liberty Puzzles -- the coolest thing about them is the whimsical pieces.. Apart from the Birds with wingspan out, Fishes and Sea-creatures both mythical and real, there's also these dancing girls with flowing hair, bent over old dames, kids flying around, complex geometric shapes and not to miss the company’s signature eagle piece.
They're fun to do and at the same time hard -- instead of the regular the telltale corner pieces, they're split here -- so you can't tell them apart. Yet they're addictive -- It actually feels good to put the puzzle pieces in place. Soon these pieces cast a spell on you and before you know it, you're drawn into the painting, the puzzle, you're there with all these creatures on your favourite beach -- experiencing it on an entirely different level..
